September has seen an increase in hiring activity within the Australian tech scene after a sluggish 2023. It seems like the hibernation phase is coming to an end, although we don’t expect the post-COVID activity that we saw in 2021 and into 2022.

Hiring a high-performing sales headcount is front of mind for many Sales Leaders, and, if not now, plans are taking shape for the new year, which is great to see.

On another note, and off the back of our launch into the US, I’m excited to announce the launch of our Tech recruitment division!

Data Center - IT Jobs and Recruiters - Pulse Recruitment

Pulse Recruitment has always dabbled in Tech recruitment, but now we’ve made it official with a dedicated resourcing team offering a combined 40 years of Tech recruitment experience.

This month, we have already placed a Senior Database Developer and two Tier III Technical Support Consultants. We also have several contract offshore Developers working on a project for an SI Client.

We are also well on our way to building an offshore Centre of Excellence in the Philippines that will cover a range of functions. This remote workforce will offer Clients a low-cost, flexible option to hire highly skilled resources on a short-term contract basis with no locked-in set timeframes.

We can also offer local contractors at short notice and find high-quality permanent talent ranging from Systems Administrators and Tech Support to Dev Ops and Heads of Cloud Engineering.

Please reach out if you’d like to learn more about how we can help fill skills gaps in your projects or find high-calibre permanent staff.

Why SDR Roles Are in Demand This Year

If you had asked a tech analyst in 2024 about the future of the Sales Development Representative (SDR), they might have handed you a death certificate. The narrative back then was simple: Generative AI would eventually automate every cold email, LinkedIn message, and discovery call, rendering the entry-level “prospector” obsolete. But as we navigate the…

If we look back at the trajectory of the last few years, the narrative in the sales world was dominated by a single, monolithic acronym: AI. What Is Your Tech Sales Team Missing

If you are a business leader looking at your Q4 projections and seeing a plateau, your first instinct might be to call a “rally” or demand more activity. In the past, the math was simple: more calls equaled more demos, which equaled more revenue. But we have entered a new era of B2B commerce. In…

    2026 Tech Sales Trends

As we step into 2026, the tech industry has reached a significant inflection point. The “AI Gold Rush” that defined the mid-2020s has matured into what analysts are calling the Age of Pragmatism. The “AI hype” era—where a mere mention of Large Language Models could secure a pilot—is officially over. In its place is a…

The Consulting Seller Era in B2B Sales

In the world of B2B commerce, we have reached a definitive turning point. For decades, the sales industry operated on a simple, albeit aggressive, premise: The Pitch. You found a prospect, you highlighted your product’s features, you handled objections, and you pushed for the “close.”But as we move deeper into the mid-2020s, that model has…
