After only joining Pulse Recruitment in January, it feels as though Brian Rijsouw, our Director of Technologies, has been with us for years. Brian is managing a team of Tech Recruiters and is already utilising his extensive network to find roles ranging from entry-level support, technicians up to engineering leads.

When it comes to Sales & Marketing, we’re seeing that job ads continue to attract large numbers of applicants, with remote roles still being in high demand and generating around 30% more applicants than hybrid roles.

Additionally, as was the trend in the second half of 2023, there is a larger-than-normal talent pool currently active in the market while interview processes have lengthened.

Having said that, clients still struggle to attract high-performing sales hunters with proven track records, whether they be SDRs or Enterprise-level AEs. This market dynamic never really changes and we are finding that headhunting and engaging with passive talent from our various networks is the order of the day still.

    Here are some of the roles that we filled in Feb;
    – 2 x AEs – Edu Tech
    – BDM – Prop Tech
    – Enterprise AE – Fraud & Financial Crime Tech
    – NSW RAM – Cybersecurity
    – AE – HR Tech / Psychometric assessment tools
    – Solution Manager – Telco Infrastructure
    – US Marketing Lead – Logistics Tech
    – AE – Healthcare Rostering Platform
    – SME BDM – Digital Displays & Signage
    – Enterprise AE – Data Analytics

    On the tech front:
February has been a strong month for the Tech division here at Pulse Recruitment.

The tech landscape is picking up and our sales team has been taking advantage of it. We have not been sitting still. This month alone we have signed partnerships with three brilliant clients:

    • A Sydney based MSP
    • A large Tech organisation in Melbourne
    • Retained partnerships with a tier one Telco organisation.

Here are some of the roles we’re looking to fill with our clients:

    • Head of Information Technology
    • 3x Telco Riggers
    • Telco Technician

Why SDR Roles Are in Demand This Year

If you had asked a tech analyst in 2024 about the future of the Sales Development Representative (SDR), they might have handed you a death certificate. The narrative back then was simple: Generative AI would eventually automate every cold email, LinkedIn message, and discovery call, rendering the entry-level “prospector” obsolete. But as we navigate the…

If we look back at the trajectory of the last few years, the narrative in the sales world was dominated by a single, monolithic acronym: AI. What Is Your Tech Sales Team Missing

If you are a business leader looking at your Q4 projections and seeing a plateau, your first instinct might be to call a “rally” or demand more activity. In the past, the math was simple: more calls equaled more demos, which equaled more revenue. But we have entered a new era of B2B commerce. In…

    2026 Tech Sales Trends

As we step into 2026, the tech industry has reached a significant inflection point. The “AI Gold Rush” that defined the mid-2020s has matured into what analysts are calling the Age of Pragmatism. The “AI hype” era—where a mere mention of Large Language Models could secure a pilot—is officially over. In its place is a…

The Consulting Seller Era in B2B Sales

In the world of B2B commerce, we have reached a definitive turning point. For decades, the sales industry operated on a simple, albeit aggressive, premise: The Pitch. You found a prospect, you highlighted your product’s features, you handled objections, and you pushed for the “close.”But as we move deeper into the mid-2020s, that model has…
