2023 has been an eventful and transformative journey for the Tech industry and Pulse Recruitment.

The tech job market in Australia started the year sluggishly as ChatGPT continued to put A.I. firmly in the forefront of the industry after its launch in November 2022. We are barely scraping the surface of what A.I. is capable of, as LLMs like ChatGPT lead the charge.

As the year rolled on, we welcomed Laura McCarthy to the team who joined us as a Senior Consultant and has since made a name for herself as Australia’s Cyber Security Recruitment Queen.

We also welcomed Melandri Stander, a seasoned recruitment professional with over seven years of international experience in senior tech roles. Her focus on the E.V. Charging and Green Tech sectors has already yielded impressive results.

Sourcr Awards celebrated our achievements, with accolades such as Recruiter of the Year in both Sales and Marketing, highlighting the quality of service provided to clients and candidates. Rich Lees’ double win for Recruiter of the Year in Sales for ANZ and NSW was a standout achievement.

In a significant move, we further expanded our presence across international borders by venturing into the United States. Spearheaded by Nick Matthews, a seasoned expert in the U.S. market, this expansion not only provides Australian clients with valuable insights into how to build and scale a U.S. GTM team but also extended Pulse’s complete GTM recruitment solution in the U.S. market.

This year, we also officially launched our Tech recruitment division, bolstered by a dedicated resourcing team boasting 40 collective years of local and international Tech recruitment experience. This division has delivered some noteworthy placements throughout, including Senior Database Developers, Software Engineers, Telecommunication Technicians and recently an NV2 Cleared Lead Tech Support role in Canberra.

Furthermore, we embarked on the ambitious project of establishing an offshore Center of Excellence in the Philippines. This remote workforce initiative offers clients cost-effective and flexible access to highly skilled resources on short-term and long-term contracts, eliminating the need for rigid timeframes.

2023 was a rocky year for the local industry, and we feel lucky to have come through relatively unscathed.

As ever, none of it is possible without the support of an incredible Technology community here in Australia, and we feel lucky to play our part.

Have a great Holiday season and a happy new year from the whole team here @ Pulse Recruitment.

What Is Your Tech Sales Team Missing

If you are a business leader looking at your Q4 projections and seeing a plateau, your first instinct might be to call a “rally” or demand more activity. 2026 Tech Sales Trends

The Consulting Seller Era in B2B Sales

In the world of B2B commerce, we have reached a definitive turning point. For decades, the sales industry operated on a simple, albeit aggressive, premise: The Pitch.
